President made nation of beggars proud!
Obama only offers handouts not a hand up.
George Washington proclaimed this national holiday to give thanks to God. As our first president he understood that none of us are perfect enough or powerful enough to control our own destiny alone. Together as a nation that accepts the rule of law under our constitution, and together in thanking our Creator God we can be united in our purpose to live together as a nation in common cause. We can be a nation in harmony with other peaceful nations.
The strength and power is from the people that choose to honor God and the sacrifice of those who came before us to bring us to this point in time. Now, we have become a nation of beggars, that plead and beg for extended welfare benefits to remain helpless and hopeless. Our President has not led us, but has fallen down into the pit of condemning our past triumphs, and blaming all of his mistakes on predecessors.
The plan to build up our country is based on blaming those who succeed as stealing from the poor. The solution is to let government take more, and blame more. We have become a nation of beggars and whiners. Imagaine being a pilgrim in a new land, with only your own wits and courage to carve out shelter and find food. There was no one to beg to. They prayed to God, and struggled to find their way.
I’m tired of the professional critics on everything we could have done or should have done. We’re here now. Tell me what you are going to do about today, besides stealing from those who have built up our country.

Our leaders were humbled by their responsibility. Our leaders were aware of their limitations and prayed for guidance and wisdom beyond our limited means. It seems the wisdom to have 20/20 hindsight clairvoyance is only restricted to the socialist athiest elitists. It sickens me at the smug pompous egocentric approach at those who would have done it better if they were there. These people are here now, but can’t do a damn thing right! But they sure can attack the failings of their predecessors.

Little off base here. If you look back at our history, you will clearly see that said landowning ‘pilgrims’ left the farm due to rapid industrialization, over commodification, and a turn to a consumerist monopoly economy in the 1920’s.
We can’t feed ourselves any more! We have been conditioned to be a nation of good little consumers thanks to our Corporate Fascist Overlords.
Worse, we have been ever brainwashed into thinking we have things like free markets and free speech, which I assure you is not actually the case. Just try and run a family farm and see how long it takes for the ConAg to bury you.

Dear “off base”, I live in a farming community. The largest farms are family farms, and nobody has been gobbled up by corporate farming. Government policy favors and encourages corporate farming corporations because all the agriculture subsidies make them richer. We feed ourselves and the world, so don’t let me hear this nonsense about how we can’t feed ourselves. The brainwashing to be consumers abruptly ended with the 2008 banking collapse. Nobody gets credit cards, unless at killer interest rates. Everybody is holding onto cash for dear life, and that’s a healthy trend. Anyhow, it’s okey to be paranoid and misinformed if that’s how the world fits into your mold. However, we deal in reality in the hobo jungle, and no soapboxes are tolerated when it’s supper time. Hope you enjoyed Thanksgiving. Did you support your local farmers by taking a minute to buy local produce, and local turkeys? We support our local farmers market, and do buy local produce as our priority.
