USA needs to pledge allegiance!
The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag: “I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.“, should be rendered by standing at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. When not in uniform men should remove any non-religious headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart. Persons in uniform should remain silent, face the flag, and render the military salute.”*
We do not need to ban any religious members from citizenship in our United States of America. “United” requires citizens to be united in common cause under our principles and Constitution. We do not need to restrict or limit citizenship based on personal beliefs. We do have the right and the duty to require fellow citizens to pledge allegiance to our symbol and embodiment of our freedom. The flag of the USA has been the banner and battle cry against tyranny, and threats to our citizens from enemies foreign and domestic.
If citizens object to pledging allegiance to the USA, then they choose to walk away from their fellow citizens. Actions speak louder than words. Pledging allegiance is a small display of support for those who place their lives at risk to protect our country for all of us. If pledging allegiance is considered too much of an intrusion into personal beliefs, then the USA wishes you well on choosing your next country of citizenship.
These are times of anxiety for our citizens on threats from terrorists to kill any US citizen anywhere at anytime. Our Pledge of Allegiance is our oath of unity to stand united for all citizens.
